NOTE: I added too much water. Use half as much as I did… there’s also a pretty good chance I over cooked the charcoal (keep in mind, I obviously didn’t use “self lighting charcoal). I’m not a pro by any means, but to the best of my knowledge, this is the proper way to prepare shisha. Although there are many different names for this legal ritual, shisha consists of a tobacco and fruit mixture, smoked through a water filtered pipe. I remember back in the states, when I had never done shisha before; I tried to light the charcoal with a lighter while on the tobacco/fruit blend. As you could guess, it didn’t work (among several other trial and errors). So after moving to Qatar, I’ve now learned the ways of the shisha masters. I tried to make this video as simple as possible.
